How we like do business:

  1. “The Company” and “We” means the Oxford Kitchen Studio ltd.  “The Customer” and “You” means the person, firm or company purchasing the Goods.
  2. A Contract will come into effect between The Company and The Customer 7 days after a deposit is paid.
  3. Whilst We will do our best to deliver and install within the timescales indicated to You, We shall not be liable for any loss caused by delay.
  4. The Customer will be responsible for insurance of all Goods once they have been delivered to site.
  5. Materials may have slight variations in colour, grain or texture from each other or from those in the showroom which will be deemed acceptable by You.
  6. Title to the Goods shall not pass to You until the Goods are paid for in full. You agree to allow us lawful entry to your property to remove Goods, whether installed or otherwise, if they are not paid for in accordance with the Contract.
  7. No employee or agent of Oxford Kitchen Studio has authority to make any oral representation concerning the price, nature or quality of The Company’s Goods or Services unless confirmed by The Company in writing.
  8. The work to be carried out will be as per the quotation. The goods supplied will be as per the itemised list. Illustrations are for demonstration purposes only and do not form part of the Contract
  9. The Customer warrants that the premises are structurally suitable for the work proposed. Unless otherwise stated, our quotation for fitting assumes that the kitchen is cleared so far as is possible and any items to be retained have been removed by the customer. Wall tiles and floor coverings to be retained must be covered.
  10. Suitably located hot and cold water supplies and drainage must be provided and stop taps must be accessible and in good working order. If applicable, a suitably located gas supply point must be available. All pilot lights must be correctly turned off. It is the customers’ responsibility to relight all pilot lights. In the event that these conditions are not met we reserve the right to make an additional charge for any works necessary to enable the installation to proceed.
  11. In the event of plastering works being undertaken, customers should be aware that the standard quotation is for 1 skim of plaster which will follow the lines and undulations of the existing walls. Where tiles are removed this may also require additional chargeable work which We were unable to predict before removal.
  12. Refreshing or matching existing skirting / sockets / paintwork / silicone / wall finishes is decorative work and has not been quoted for unless detailed on the Invoice.
  13. Delivery may take place prior to installation but this will be for no more than 7 days without Your agreement.
  14. Installation customers: We will check plans and dimensions before manufacture. Small changes in size may be made in the interest of obtaining a satisfactory fit and may result in a charging adjustment.
  15. Supply Customers: It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure the installer used is competent to install the rigid kitchen units, accessories and appliances. Also to check all sizes on plans and listings prior to Ordering. We can accept no liability for poor fitting of our products by others or for inaccurate measurements. We strongly advise that You continuously monitor and check sizing, and advise Us of any change in good time for alterations to be made prior to Order.
  16. We reserve the right to exchange Goods for others of our choice & of a similar specification in the event of unavailability. If no suitable alternative is available We shall not be liable for any increased cost, but We will refund any reduced cost.
  17. We reserve the right to amend the plan in the event of any unforeseen circumstances arising or problems manifesting themselves upon installation. We shall not be liable for any increased cost, but We will refund any reduced cost.
  18. Customers supplying appliances / equipment which require power points / plumbing / venting, must ensure that this work is detailed in the invoice and that the relevant installation / venting kits are on-site. All Customer supplied appliances need to be unpacked, inspected and brought to the kitchen on the date requested.
  19. Any skip / bag on-site is the property of The Company and Customers other contractors may not use it without prior agreement.
  20. Where a fit includes the ducting of an appliance or installation of a waste disposal unit, We reserve the right to withdraw or amend this option if installation proves to be impractical or unsuitable.
  21. We will endeavour to minimise inconvenience to the Customer at all times, however by nature of the work, we cannot be held liable for inconvenience, loss of time or accidental damage, however caused. Customers retaining existing floor or wall coverings must be aware that patching up work may be required to same before and / or after installation as per Point 12.
  22. In the event of cancellation, and/or delay not caused by the Company, charges will be applicable in accordance with the stage of your Order to indemnify us against all losses. Additional charges for administration, design works and/or fitting costs, including lost time, may be applied at our discretion. In the event of a cancellation You are required to confirm your reason in writing and send it by recorded delivery to Our Registered Address. Deposits are non-refundable after 7 days.
  23. No claims for damaged goods will be accepted unless notification is given in writing within 7 days of delivery or final installation.
  24. All items supplied are covered by individual manufacturers warranties, which are effective from the date of delivery / installation and Customers are reminded to register for the individual warranty. Installation is guaranteed for 12 months from the completion. Laminate worktops are not guaranteed against damage caused by ingress of water.
  25. We reserve the right to use before / during / after pictures of projects and other Marketing tools unless You advise Us in writing not to do so. Calls to and from Company phone numbers may be recorded.
  26. Payment terms: For all Sales 20% deposit of the Order value (refundable for 7 days after payment). Then; Supply only – 80% by way of cleared funds 7 days before delivery. Installation – 60% of the Order value 7 days before the installation start date, 20% of the Order value will be retained by You, to be paid within 7 days of the Installation being completed following satisfactory installation, or by the Company writing to You advising that all reasonable efforts have been made to complete the project.
